Activities. Magnano is in an area where  a lot of activities are taking place. For the guests who like sports there are the following activities: Mountain biking,  riding a bike, hiking, climbing mountains, playing golf, skiing, swimming. If you want to do something less active, you can go to -    cultural sights -    pilgrimage -    museums -    castles -    shopping facilities -    national parks -    restaurants Mountainbiking and biking Italian people love biking. The Ivrea –Biella track is one of the most used tracks for training because of the many hairpin bends and steep slopes. Also for mountain bikers this area is suitable for training. There are numerous tracks and because there are many hills, it’s a real challenge. Road maps are available. Hiking. Magnano is situated at the officials national hiking route. TheThe Path Italy (IT) is an approximately 6000 km long hiking trail that crosses the entire country. The course, divided into 368 steps, starting from Trieste and crossing the entire Alpine region , the whole chain Apennines , the Sicily and Sardinia get to Santa Teresa di Gallura using long stretches of existing routes such as the Piedmont GTA , the Ligurian AVML and Tuscany GEA . Its establishment, still partly unfinished, is relatively recent. The original idea was created in 1983 by a group of walkers who met the same name and in association with the collaboration of the CAI , sees the light in 1995 during the first edition of CamminaItalia when a group of hikers set out from town in Sardinia and covered the entire course in eight months. The performance was repeated in 1999 , this time in collaboration with the ' National Alpine Association . Recently, the project's evolution has slowed down considerably and even if you have standardized the signage, with a trail red- white-red with the word YES in black, many steps have been only a mark on the paper, numbers eleven and thirteen go through and alongside  Magnano. There are a lot of hiking trails in and around Magnano of which I myself have hiked a great number. Mountainclimbing At one hour distance (by car) there is a valley called the Valley of Gressoney. During the summertime this is the place where elevators leave to bring fanatical and experienced mountain climbers to the Monte Rosa mountains. From Staval you can take the elevator to the Sella-hut en/of Gniffetti hut. These huts are a beautiful starting point for climbing mountaintops such as Liskamm, Castor and many more. Skiing Countless ski lifts can bring you in the wintertime to the Gressoney Valley during wintertime. When you drive a little bit further, in the direction of Aosta (exit before Cervinia), you’ll arrive in one of the largest skiing areas of northern Italy. In the summertime you can go skiing here. Playing golf In Magnano there is one of the largest and most beautiful golf courses of Europe, Le Betulle. Golfers can play all day long. In the neighbourhood of  Magnano there are three more golf courses. One in Santhia, one in Cavaglia and one in Cossato. Swimming At one hour distance (by car) is Ondaland, a huge aquatic park with more than 20 waterslides. A nice change for those who like to swim.
