On August 4th 2008 Joop and Astrid bought this house in order to realize their dream: living and working independently in Italy. Joop wanted to do odd jobs , ride his motorcycle and climb mountains. The two of them wanted to travel by camper, hiking and riding bike and, when the house would be finished, Astrid could run her own Bed & Breakfast.
Unfortunately, 2 weeks after purchasing the house, Joop died while climbing the Monta Rosa Mountains with his English climbing buddy. In April 2009 Astrid yet decided to go on reconstructing the house and opening a Bed and Breakfast in Magnano.
After a thorough rebuilding of the house whereby a great effort has been made to keep the house in the original situation and the rooms are having an authentic Italian atmosphere, the Bed & Breakfast has opened her doors on May 12th 2010.
